The first foundation was jasper the second, sapphire the third, a chalcedony the fourth, an emerald The fifth, sardonyx the sixth, sardius the seventh, chrysolite the eighth, beryl the ninth, a topaz the tenth, a chrysoprasus the eleventh, a jacinth the twelfth, an amethyst. … brilliant and beautiful all were brilliant and splendid to behold and beautiful was their surfaceĪnd the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. But for now let’s get back to New Jerusalem.Īlso we see that Enoch 24 describing the stones of the mountains as It might also be noted that the Hebrew word for tribe and branch is the same. The remaining 6 mountains/candlesticks represent 2 gates each for each tribes. Just a side note: I think the knop under two branches could possibly represent the gates of the 12 tribes. And you shall make את eth-the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light את eth-the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it. Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold. And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the menorah. And in the menorah shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers. And six branches shall come out of the sides of it three branches of the menorah out of the one side, and three branches of the menorah out of the other side: Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the menorah. To me Enoch is describing a place with seven mountains and the seventh happens to be in the middle, which reminds me of the menorah’s description Īnd you shall make a menorah (seven branched candlestick) of pure gold: of beaten work shall the menorah be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. Their stones were brilliant and beautiful all were brilliant and splendid to behold and beautiful was their surface Three mountains were towards the east, and strengthened by being placed one upon another and three were towards the south, strengthened in a similar manner There were likewise deep valleys, which did not approach each other And the seventh mountain was in the midst of them In length they all resembled the seat of a throne, and odoriferous trees surrounded them… I went from thence to another place, and saw a mountain of fire flashing both by day and night I proceeded towards it and perceived seven splendid mountains, which were all different from each other. Okay, so if we take these scriptures and others like Isaiah 25 New Jerusalem will be on a hill or mountain but what if even more specifically it was the seventh mountain on a mountain range similar to a menorah? And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. There is a tonne of scripture on this so I will attempt to narrow it down and keep it as simple as possible.Ĭould this Matthew 5-hill be the same hill that David refers to or the mountain that Isaiah refers to The Hill of the Lord or the Mountain of Yah has a very important role entangled into New Jerusalem and the culmination of this age. What did Yeshua mean when He said, we are a city on a hill that cannot be hidden (Mat 5:14)? Or a lit candle that should be placed on a candlestick (menorah) to give light to the house (Mat 5:15)? Today we will touch on the setting and where Zion/ the City of Heaven/ New Jerusalem will be established. The previous blog I expounded on the New Jerusalem descending through the firmament, and how she gives birth to the children of the Most High in their resurrected bodies.
